For May’s Meet the Maker, we’re delighted to introduce artist and printmaker Sarah Woods, whose quietly captivating work is handprinted in her studio in Newlyn, Cornwall. Rooted in a deep connection to the landscape and sea, her work is inspired by the rhythms of nature and a simplicity of process. Through slow, meditative mark making and soft, tonal compositions, her prints capture the stillness of coastal life - translating shifting light, gentle hues and the softness of the ocean into pieces that feel both timeless and deeply personal. We loved learning more about Sarah’s process, from her calm, light-filled studio to the coastal surroundings that continue to shape and inspire her beautiful work.

For our April edition of Meet the Maker, we’re delighted to introduce 2 Hungry Bakers, the collaborative ceramics practice of Adamina Turek and Adrian Austin. Hand-thrown in their Harrow studio, their stoneware tableware blends thoughtful design with everyday functionality, drawing on the traditions of British and Japanese studio pottery. Their work has become a firm favourite for its quiet simplicity and natural, tactile beauty. Each piece embraces imperfection and carries a sense of warmth and character, perfect for elevating daily rituals.

Next up in our Meet the Maker series, we’re thrilled to introduce the wonderfully skilled ceramicist Hannah Kinchin. Hand-thrown in her Cornish studio, Hannah’s ceramics blend thoughtful design with everyday functionality. Her work has been turning heads in our shops for its effortless simplicity and timeless style.
