This gorgeous little stoneware milk jug is made exclusively for The Painted Bird by Ailsa Ferrier of Roadside Picnic Ceramics. Featuring a toasty speckled cream and brown glaze, with a delicate bluish-grey pinstripe design, it's perfect for a dash of milk for your tea or coffee, or even to hold a small bunch of wildflowers.

Ailsa Ferrier (Roadside Picnic Ceramics) is an Edinburgh-based ceramicist. Trained in contemporary sculpture in London, her work blends her fine art past with everyday function, creating homeware from custom clay bodies and glazes. Influences range from clean contemporary and mid-century Scandinavian design to the decorative qualities of French Baroque. Alongside her own collections, she produces commissions and more sculptural pieces, including Raku, and co-founded Portland Street Pottery in Leith in 2024.
